Dear Vinny,
I have been raising cattle for 15 years now on what I would consider a fairly successful cattle ranch. Lately, we have noticed the growth of the grass and plants in a lot of areas isn’t what it used to be. If we continue to raise cattle on this land, we need to be able to graze them. What is a solution we could implement to keep our cattle from going hungry?

Dear Cows,
Regenerative Grazing practices have become the new normal for many ranchers in your situation. You may have to reduce your numbers to allow your range land to recover, but a new intensified grazing practice could also solve your problems. We have several range consultants on speed dial; I recommend contacting someone specializing in Regenerative Grazing to help evaluate your pastures and give you some ideas on rejuvenating your range. It may also be worth looking into other range management plans like prescribed burns. Several excellent consultants can help lay out a plan for better production and more weight on your calves.
Good luck, and I hope your grass keeps growing.
