You absolutely can sell. You will want to ensure you disclose that the property is in the floodplain on your property disclosure statement. You will also want to ensure your broker informs all potential buyers looking at the property. In certain situations, there are ways to remove your home from the floodplain, and a good engineering firm may be able to help you with that.
